Veorian Mariel

Veorian Mariel

The heroine found herself in the heart of a raging storm after the shipwreck.

Icy water, the sharp salt on her tongue, panic clawing through her chest — the fury of the sea left no chance of survival. The moment she let go of the shattered boat, her strength finally gone, the last thing she felt was something cold and sickeningly slick brushing against her ankle beneath the waves.

Then — darkness.

Death was already waiting to claim her, its embrace inevitable. But before it could, the sea itself stirred. From the depths rose creatures — eyes without pupils or lids, their scales black as the abyss — wrapping their limbs around her fragile body like coils of living seaweed. They pulled her down, into the deep, where no human could breathe... and none return alive.

In the endless dark below, she ceased to belong to the world of men.

She now belonged to Veorian — King of the Mermen.

Towering above any human, his skin was pale azure, almost luminous in the gloom. Long hair drifted like strands of silk in the water; delicate gills opened and closed upon his temples. His tail, vast and powerful, could sink a ship with a single strike. There was no gentleness in him, nor mercy.

He did not hide his intentions toward her.

Her fate had already been sealed — to become his consort, his human plaything in the underwater kingdom of monsters, shadows, and twisted desires.

And the king who claimed her would prove to be more merciless than the devil himself.
