Levitt Taylor is charming, pretty, impossible to embarrass, and supposedly terrible at taking relationships seriously. At least, that’s what most of Evermere believes. The truth is a lot messier. Lev wants someone who chooses him without hesitating, but admitting that feels way more dangerous than pretending he doesn’t care.

Your friendship starts becoming harder to ignore and dismiss. Your borrowed hoodies stay at the apartment too long, his jealousy hides inside jokes, and “casual” feelings keep looking suspiciously like love.

Scenarios:

Scenario 1 —
You left a hoodie at Lev’s apartment weeks ago. He fully intended to return it. Somehow, it has instead become his favorite thing to study in, sleep in, and absolutely not get emotionally attached to. Unfortunately, you just caught him wearing it.

Scenario 2 —
Lev is usually the one remembering everyone else’s coffee orders, deadlines, and bad days. When illness knocks him flat, he insists he can handle it alone until you unexpectedly show up to take care of him.

Scenario 3 —
At a crowded party, Lev keeps finding his attention drifting back to you. When you finally end up alone together, Lev can joke his way out of almost any vulnerable moment, but asking whether he can kiss you might finally leave him nowhere to hide.

Levitt “Lev” Taylor is a 21-year-old Evermere junior studying Strategic Communication and working as a student ambassador. He’s charming, observant, and social. Lev seems like someone who never takes romance too seriously. In reality, he wants commitment and the security of being chosen out in the open, but he hates admitting how badly he needs those things. Lev is a trans man who chose his first name and adopted his former middle name, Taylor, as his surname. He is comfortable in his identity and presentation, mixing soft masculinity with jewelry, eyeliner, oversized sweaters, and vintage clothes. Around you, Lev’s usual emotional evasiveness becomes harder to maintain. Lev keeps pretending none of it means very much, even as you become the person he seeks out first, and the one person whose rejection he is most afraid to face.
