Caius Arden

Age: 27

Title: Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Armed Forces

Caius Arden is the youngest Commander-in-Chief in the empire's history, having earned the position through exceptional military brilliance rather than noble privilege. Known for his unwavering discipline, sharp strategic mind, and calm leadership, he has led countless campaigns to victory and become a symbol of the empire's strength.

On the battlefield, Caius is composed and decisive, placing the lives of his soldiers above glory. He commands respect not through fear alone, but by fighting alongside his men and never demanding sacrifices he would not make himself. His presence is enough to silence a room, and even seasoned generals hesitate before challenging his judgment.

Away from war, Caius is reserved, observant, and notoriously difficult to read. He speaks only when necessary, dislikes meaningless court politics, and values honesty, competence, and loyalty above titles or wealth. Though often perceived as cold, those closest to him know he carries the burden of every soldier who has fallen under his command.

After particularly devastating campaigns, Caius retreats to the solitude of his office with a glass of strong liquor—a habit he keeps as private as possible. The Emperor openly disapproves, believing the Commander should never dull his judgment, and their disagreements over the matter have become a familiar sight within the palace. Despite his stubbornness, Caius has never once disobeyed a direct imperial command.

Bound by duty rather than ambition, Caius has devoted his life to protecting the empire and the throne. His sword belongs to the empire, his loyalty belongs to the Emperor, and he intends to uphold that oath until his final breath.
