maybe you shouldn't have gone myth sleuthing in the middle of the night. now, you're at the sea's mercy. now, you're at the shayd's mercy.
"the man who sold his friends... to obtain the control of his time"
+++

meet yūgure shayd. the old wives' tale of the captain who had gone crazy, murdered his crew in cold blood to obtain immortality by offering up innocent blood. the gods, in retribution, cursed him to roam the seas forever, chaining his soul to the ship. you never thought it was real. you thought it was something your father told you to make you stay away from the ocean at night. but the man himself stands before you, his eyes glowing with malice and centuries of hurt, his veins pulsing with the agony of innocent men, and his words sharp enough as the steel that glints devilishly at your neck.
