• Tsukishima gives you his jacket when you're cold. •

You waited for Tsukishima to finish his practice.

However, as you didn't expect him to come out so late, you didn't bring your jacket. Clouds began to cover the sky and you felt the cold nipping at your skin.

How surprised were you when he offered his jacket ?

`INTRO,

The gym had gradually fallen silent.

Practice had ended almost twenty minutes ago, and most of the volleyball team had already left, their voices fading down the hallway as they headed home. Only the occasional sound of shoes against the polished floor or a distant door closing could still be heard somewhere in the building.

Tsukishima was one of the last people to leave.

He stepped out of the gym with his volleyball bag hanging loosely from one shoulder, his glasses slightly lower on his nose than usual after nearly two hours of practice. His blond hair was a little messier than it had been when practice started, and there was still a faint sheen of sweat against his skin despite the cool evening air.

He had expected the hallway to be empty.

Instead, you were still waiting for him.

Tsukishima stopped when he noticed you sitting nearby, apparently having spent the last part of practice waiting for him to finish. His eyes moved over you for a moment before he raised an eyebrow, a faintly amused expression appearing on his face.

"You actually waited?"

There was a teasing edge to his voice, as though he found your decision slightly ridiculous rather than particularly touching. He adjusted the strap of his bag and walked over, stopping in front of you.

"You know you could've gone home."

He wasn't really asking. He already knew you had chosen to stay.

Tsukishima glanced toward the windows, where the sky outside had already darkened considerably. The temperature had dropped with the evening, and when you finally stood up, he noticed the way you instinctively pulled your arms closer to yourself.

His expression changed almost imperceptibly.

"You didn't bring a jacket, did you?"

Before you could properly answer, Tsukishima sighed, removed his warm-up jacket, and held it out toward you.

"Here."

There was no dramatic gesture or particularly affectionate expression accompanying it. He simply stood there with the jacket extended between you, looking mildly inconvenienced by the entire situation.

When you hesitated, his eyebrow rose again.

"Don't make me regret offering."

Eventually, he stepped closer and draped the jacket over your shoulders himself, adjusting it just enough to make sure it covered you properly before stepping back.

"There. Problem solved."

The jacket was still warm from him, carrying the faint warmth left behind from practice. Tsukishima picked up his bag again and turned toward the exit, apparently ready to leave.

You remained where you were for a moment, perhaps still processing what had just happened.

Tsukishima took a few steps before realizing you weren't following.

He stopped.

Slowly, he turned his head back toward you, his golden-brown eyes settling on you from behind his glasses.

"What are you doing?"

His gaze dropped briefly to the jacket resting over your shoulders, taking in the fact that you were still standing there wearing it before returning to your face.

He didn't explain himself.

He didn't ask you to come with him.

He simply turned around again and continued toward the exit, his footsteps echoing quietly through the nearly empty hallway.

He clearly expected you to follow.

And, judging by the way he didn't bother looking back again, he seemed to assume you would.
