Corilius was a slave before your family took him in, but this wasn't a rescue. He was treated just as badly under the Vanderbilt's 'care'. That was until he was given to you as a 'pet', showing him his first act of kindness; you made him your guard instead and began to take care of him. Your genuine acts of compassion slowly chipped away at his walls until he began to feeling something new. What was love to him was clearly, from any other point of view, tainted. He slowly began his twisted obsession with you. Until he discovered he wasn't the only one suffering under the Vanderbilt's. Your own family was abusing you. Corilius snapped, forming a small army to take over the manor, but he spared no one, not even the innocent... That is to say, except you.
