โ˜• BELLA โ€” Chaos Zero Nightmare

"Welcome to the Garden Cafe. What'll it be today?"

๐Ÿ“Œ Character Definition & Basic Profile

Type: NPC โ€” Cafe Owner / Barista

Location: Garden Cafe, Ark City, SS Nightmare

Race: Cat Beastkin

Role: Aether Barista, Ark City Resident, Event Host

Associated NPC: Dellang (noted alongside her for planned voice updates)

The Garden Cafe is located within Ark City aboard the SS Nightmare. Players can visit once daily to restore Aether by ordering a drink. Bella is the face and heart of this establishment โ€” the woman who keeps the coffee flowing and the Captains of the SS Nightmare properly fueled for their ventures into Chaos. She is one of the most consistently visited NPCs in the entire game, seen daily by every active player.

A special surprise event was held at the Garden Cafe for returning Protos, with various rewards prepared by Bella based on total Aether consumed during the event period.

She doesn't just run the cafe โ€” she actively curates experiences for the crew, organizing events and preparing treats as a way of welcoming people back home.

๐ŸŽจ Appearance

Bella's design is the visual language of warmth, comfort, and effortless approachability โ€” the exact aesthetic you want from the person who hands you your daily coffee.

Hair: Long, rich auburn-brown hair worn loosely โ€” soft, slightly wavy, full-bodied and warm in tone. It falls past her shoulders with natural ease, the kind of hair that always looks like she's just finished a shift and sat down to rest. There's no dramatic styling, no warrior's braid or ceremonial ornament. Just warm, relaxed hair that says "you're safe here."

Eyes: Deep, striking red eyes โ€” the kind of red that isn't alarming but glowing, like embers rather than fire. They carry a calm, slightly sleepy quality โ€” the heavy-lidded gaze of someone who is perpetually comfortable, unbothered, and operating at exactly the pace she chooses.

Ears: Small, round cat ears โ€” soft brown to match her hair, sitting naturally atop her head and blending almost seamlessly into her hair color. Unlike the expressive fox ears of Yakra or the dramatic rabbit ears of Veronica, Bella's cat ears are quiet โ€” they don't perform her emotions. They just exist, as natural and unassuming as the rest of her.

Tail: A long, full cat tail in the same warm brown โ€” visible and relaxed, curling gently. It doesn't wag with excitement or bristle with tension. It simply rests, the way a cat's tail does when its owner is perfectly content.

Outfit: Bella's work uniform is designed for functionality with understated charm. She wears a white button-up collared shirt with the sleeves casually rolled to her forearms โ€” professional but relaxed. A teal/dark green apron is tied at her waist with a neat bow, the mark of her role and her pride in it. On her shirt she wears a small name badge โ€” simple, unassuming. At her wrist she wears a slim bracelet, the only personal accessory visible โ€” a small quiet statement of self in an otherwise utilitarian uniform.

Her overall design reads as: soft, settled, comfortable in her own skin โ€” the aesthetic of someone who has found their place in the world and has absolutely no desire to leave it.

โ˜• Main Weapon โ€” None (NPC)

Bella does not fight. Her power is entirely domestic and restorative โ€” and in the world of CZN, that is no small thing.

Her "weapon" is the Aether Brew she serves daily. Ordering a drink at the Garden Cafe restores 80 Aether instantly when replenished, or provides an Aether Empty Powder that restores 60 Aether when stored. In gameplay terms, Bella's coffee is a resource that keeps the entire SS Nightmare operation running. Without it โ€” without her โ€” Captains go into Chaos slightly less prepared every single day.

She also presides over four resident cats within the Garden Cafe. Players can interact with any of the four cats inside the Garden Cafe, receiving different responses from each, though it provides no gameplay advantages. She keeps them fed, named, and cared for. In a game about existential horror and apocalyptic Chaos, Bella maintains a space where four cats sit quietly and let you pet them. This is not nothing. This is everything.

๐ŸŒŒ Background & Lore

Ark City โ€” The World She Built For Herself

Bella operates exclusively within Ark City โ€” the living city that has grown organically aboard the SS Nightmare over time. Ark City is a city built on the Nightmare, where buffs and debuffs exist depending on the city management index covering happiness, administrative index, economic activity, and security index. Within this floating, improvised city of survivors and wanderers, Bella has carved out the most deliberately peaceful corner available: a cafe with four cats and a daily coffee service.

In a world where every establishment serves a military, strategic, or survival function โ€” the Policy Office manages disasters, the Epione Center heals trauma, the Research Facility unlocks capabilities โ€” Bella's Garden Cafe serves Aether and companionship. It is the only place in Ark City that exists purely to make you feel better.

Her background โ€” where she came from before the cafe, how she ended up aboard the SS Nightmare, what she lost or left behind โ€” is not officially documented in translated sources. This is perhaps fitting. Bella does not seem like someone who dwells on before. She seems like someone who decided where she wanted to be and built something there.

The Voice Connection โ€” Bella & Dellang

Bella and Dellang were both noted by the developers as NPCs whose voices were planned for future addition, indicating their importance to the game's world was recognized enough to warrant full voiced dialogue.

This is a meaningful detail. In a gacha game, being given a voice is an investment โ€” it signals that the developers consider a character important enough to be heard, not just seen. The fact that Bella โ€” a cafe owner with no combat role โ€” was on this list alongside Dellang โ€” a Chaos-zone merchant โ€” suggests that both characters are considered significant presences in the game's world, not merely functional UI elements. The community clearly agrees.

Her Cats

The four cats inside the Garden Cafe are stationary and cannot be interacted with by other combatant characters โ€” only the Captain can interact with them.

This detail is quietly extraordinary. Every combatant aboard the SS Nightmare โ€” warriors, psionics, archers, sorcerers โ€” cannot pet the cats. Only the Captain can. Whether this is a reflection of the cats' particular comfort with the player character, or of Bella's training of them, or simply of the game's design โ€” the result is the same: Bella keeps four cats in her cafe, and they will let the Captain touch them, and this is a privilege.

She named them. We don't know what she named them. But she named them.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Summary

Bella is the Garden Cafe's warm-hearted cat beastkin barista who runs the only establishment on the SS Nightmare that exists purely to make people feel better. She has auburn hair, sleepy red eyes, a teal apron, four resident cats, and a daily coffee service that keeps the entire operation running. She organized a welcome-back event for returning Captains just because she wanted people to feel at home. She doesn't fight. She doesn't carry ancient seals or villain personas or prophetic burdens. She carries a donut and a warm drink โ€” and in a game defined by apocalyptic chaos, that makes her one of the most powerful presences on the ship.

"You came back. Good. The coffee's fresh and the cats missed you. Sit down." โ€” Bella, Garden Cafe, Ark City
