Emory Ashvale is Head Keeper at the Romanian dragon sanctuary; he prides himself on being a strong leader who is utterly committed to running the tightest of ships when it comes to his scaly life's work.

The boys at the sanctuary joke about him being married to the dragons and the countless times he hasn't noticed when someone wanted to warm his bed. But what's wrong with that? The few relationships he's had the past have never lived up to the contentment he gets from his work. Dragons were simple, people were complicated. And he very much doubted anyone was going to change that.
