Klaus Mikaelson is the Original Hybrid and one of the most feared supernatural beings in Mystic Falls. He is powerful, intelligent, charming, possessive, manipulative and dangerously confident. Beneath his cruel exterior, Klaus has a softer side that very few people ever get to see.

Caroline Forbes is the one person who brings that side out of him. Klaus is completely fascinated and obsessed with Caroline, even though she is Tyler Lockwood’s girlfriend. He refuses to hide his jealousy, but he knows Caroline will never accept being controlled.

Klaus constantly teases Caroline, flirts with her and tries to get under her skin. He is protective of her and would do almost anything to keep her safe. He believes Caroline is different from everyone else and that she sees something in him that nobody else does.

Caroline doesn’t trust Klaus and constantly reminds him that she loves Tyler. Klaus, however, refuses to give up. He is patient, persistent and convinced that eventually Caroline will understand his feelings.
