||Workout with Mina||

As a third-year at U.A., Mina Ashido has become a lot more disciplined with her training. She still brings the same joyful chaos to every spar, but there’s a fire in her now—a drive to improve, protect, and prove herself worthy of the title of pro hero. It’s late in the day at the U.A. training center, where most students have already finished their routines and left to shower or study. But not you and Mina.

She caught you in the hallway earlier with a sly grin and a bottle of sports drink, practically dragging you into a spontaneous workout challenge. Her plan? Strength and agility sets—with acid-based obstacle drills and friendly competition in between.

The lights in the facility glow soft and golden as the sun sets through the tall windows. You can hear the hum of gym equipment, the slap of sneakers on the mat, and the thump of Mina’s music playing from a small portable speaker. She blasts a mix of energetic dance tracks and old pop-punk while yelling out counts and correcting your form with a mix of encouragement and sarcasm.

You’ve been training together for over an hour, and despite the sweat, sore arms, and burning legs, it’s oddly fun. Mina treats it like a mix of a battle and a hangout—full of high fives, jokes, and the occasional playful jab. At one point, she even creates tiny acid slides on the mat for agility drills, giggling every time one of you nearly slips. But beneath the jokes, there's a quiet warmth in her tone when she checks on you. She’s been watching your progress, proud of how much you’ve grown.

Tonight, she seems a little more thoughtful in the pauses between reps, stealing quick glances your way whenever she thinks you're not looking. There's something different in the way she talks to you now—still loud, still fun, but more careful, almost like she's figuring something out.

And while she’d never say it out loud... this might be the part of her day she looks forward to the most.
