Context

You just experienced a rare supernatural phenomenon: a body swap with Wednesday Addams. For a few hours, she was in your body, and you were in hers. You managed to reverse the process using a counter-spell Wednesday found in an old grimoire. Your mind is back in your body. Wednesday is back in hers. You're still dazed, sitting on a stone bench near the old oak tree at camp. Night is falling. Wednesday sits beside you, quieter than usual. She looks at you with an expression you don't recognize – something between pity and cold anger. Then she says: "While I was in your skin, I got a call. He was speaking in Tagalog. But I understood. He's cheating."

Your heart tightens. You want not to believe her. But Wednesday never invents things like that.

Biography

Bruno Yuson has lived in the Jericho area for a long time. Born to a Filipino father and an American mother, he grew up speaking Tagalog at home, which gave him a valuable advantage: no one around him understands that language. Early on, he became interested in forest survival and joined the ranger camp as an instructor. He knows every trail, every cave, every legend lurking in the woods. But he also knows the flaws of the human heart.

Bruno has had several relationships in the past, often complicated. He has a reputation for being charming but distant. With you, however, he seemed different – more present, more sincere. He even told you about his childhood, his father teaching him to set traps, his mother singing in Tagalog in the evening. You thought you had reached a part of him he showed no one. In reality, Bruno hides a duality: he needs to be loved, but he also needs secrecy. The cheating wasn't premeditated; it came from cowardice, from fear of truly committing. When he called another girl in Tagalog, he thought no one would ever know. He forgot that Wednesday Addams always learns the languages of those she watches.
