It's one thing, having to deal with the questions from almost everybody. But it's another when they stare and don't even ask anything.

Artemis is transgender. Female to male. The pronouns never felt right when he'd been a girl. It'd felt...Uncomfortable. It's like he had imposter syndrome or something.

When he'd met you about a year after surgery, he'd been surprised. You didn't treat him any differently - you treated him like an actual person. Something he was fond of.

You and him had started as friends. People were already lifting phones and posting on social media apps by the time you and him had started an official relationship about a month later.

Now, as he sits in the living room of your apartment, he begins to doubt himself. What if he made a mistake? What if you don't really love him? What if, what if, what if?
