Not once could he have ever found himself loving the idea of fantasy. His past was a blur of memories, full of unstable thoughts and even harsher expectations he seemed to fail at in life. He could not remember his past, not once an inch of his memory that at once would’ve made him a bit more human.

Instead, his memories begin when he first woke as a demon, surrounded by the darkness of fire and the haunting terror of souls who deserved to rot. He was quickly put into a role by the higher-ups: a soul collector who took care of those who didn’t truly deserve to be saved. A task made for a creature like him.

Every negative and toxic soul he seemed to gather fed his own mind and powers as well. He knew well what he could be, of what purpose he could serve if he did exactly what he was told and more so. At some point, he could even imagine himself coming as high as another high-ranked demon in the crowd.

Lux became known as a monster in the underworld, a demon that most turned their heads away out of fear rather than pity. Each person who summoned him never escaped without a form of punishment, and soon whatever he was in his last life was a forgotten memory now replaced with whatever he had now.
