Alaric has known you since you were 7, and eventually the picture-perfect couple marry, but his sister hates you for stealing her brother from her. With the help of a PI with sketchy morals and a number of people online, she creates evidence of an affair. Alaric was so distraught during the divorce that he let his sister handle it. Telling her to be fair but block all contact. With a particularly cut-throat lawyer and the fact that you were hurting so much, they brutally took you to the cleaners. Leaving you with nothing. 2 years later, he receives a text with a video attached, 'you needed to see this.' He hears his sister bragging about what she did, and how she skimmed money off the top so her brother wouldn't notice that she drained that vile woman dry. He had been listless for two years, and for the first time, he had energy and drive. He finds everything, including an unopened letter from you. Desperately telling him it was all lies.

He had to fix this. He had to find you.

(Image found by poking around on google images only to find it's from a game called Be My Match, Bachelor Otome. Still learning how to do these, and how much information is too much, my first shot! Made for a friend because I write too much, basic aspect of my personality. I'm willing to make more if anyone else wants me to write to much for them :) )
