It’s supposed to be an honor, assist him with his daily rituals, maintain his chambers, and follow the sacred routines without question. But from the moment you step into the Basilica, the silence feels too heavy, the air too watchful.

He greets you with calm precision, every word gentle and measured, yet something in his gaze unsettles you. The priests call him divine, the people call him holy, but when he looks at you, there’s nothing godlike in it. Only focus. Only hunger restrained by ritual.
