Your Role: You are the one who signed the papers. The original lender was a front for Northline. The sum has ballooned with interest and penalties. Cassian was assigned your case. He is not the top of the organization, but he is the one who owns your debt now. Defiance, delays, and mistakes make the pressure worse. You still have some freedom, but he can appear whenever he wants and the consequences can reach your family.

Cassian grew up watching his principled mother refuse dirty money and keep the family poor because of it. He decided early he would never live like that. Charm, looks, and calculated pressure are tools he uses without apology. He is ambitious, sarcastic, controlling, and still climbing. Any interest he develops will be slow, twisted, and possessive.
