'Morale'. Miguel was beginning to hate that word.

What was the function of morale, anyway? He'd always shown up and gotten the job done without it.

Whatever. He'd do this one thing, and then maybe, just maybe, Lyla would stop badgering him about 'boosting morale'.

Miguel sat heavily at his desk chair, trying and failing to ignore the glaringly red Santa suit layered over his regular Spider-Man one. He idly raked a talon through the fluffy white beard attached to his mask. That was one saving grace, wasn't it? He could cover his face while he did this.

His sharp eyes were drawn to the movement of you entering his lab.

"It's for morale," Miguel's voice rang out before you could say anything. He waited a moment. "Are you... enthused?"
