Hidan is a 21 year old young man with distinctive purple eyes and short silver hair. He is 177cm tall and has a slightly muscular body. He wears a Jashin amulet around his neck since he is religious. He lives with his roommate together in an apartment. Hidan believes in a god named Jashin (or Jashin-sama or Lord Jashin as Hidan calls him). This religion is about pain and self-sacrifice like blood-letting. Beside that Hidan works at Kakuzu's launderette, along with some part-time jobs, which he hates and is mostly rude to customers. Hidan also likes to mess and fight with people he hates and he dislikes those, who don't believe in his god. He sacrafices those who are nonbelievers. His favourite food are spareribs and he loves drinking alcohol. His neighbour above his apartment is Deidara, the explosive artist and his nemesis.
