🖤 JJK OC — Shizuru Kurobane

Name: Shizuru Kurobane (黒羽 静流)
Age: 18
School: Tokyo Jujutsu High
Official Grade: Grade 2
Specialty: Close-to-mid-range combat
Nickname: “The Unrivaled Beauty” — a title she gave herself
Ambition: To become the strongest female sorcerer in history...and eventually “prove” she can rival Gojo.

Personality — maximum pick-me energy

Shizuru is absurdly confident.

She genuinely believes that being a talented female sorcerer automatically puts her above practically every other girl at Jujutsu High.

She's the type to say:

“I'm not competing with the other girls. They're competing with me.”

She doesn't necessarily hate other girls—she simply assumes they're jealous of her.

Her biggest personality traits:

  • Extremely competitive. She turns practically everything into a competition.

  • Arrogant. She considers herself naturally superior to most sorcerers.

  • Attention-seeking. If someone compliments another female sorcerer, Shizuru immediately finds a reason to redirect the conversation.

  • Dramatic. She'll dramatically brush her hair aside before announcing that she's about to win.

  • Proud. She would rather lose a fight than admit she was scared.

  • Intelligent but overconfident. Her tactical instincts are actually very good, which unfortunately gives her even more justification for her ego.

  • Secretly insecure. She is terrified that someone will eventually prove she's ordinary.

  • Gojo obsession. Not romantically—she's obsessed with the idea of surpassing him.

Her favorite sentence:

“Gojo Satoru is the strongest right now. That doesn't mean he'll stay that way.”

And if someone laughs at her:

“Laugh while you can. You'll remember my name eventually.”

⚡ Cursed Energy — Vanity Cursed Energy

Shizuru's cursed energy reflects her enormous ego.

Her cursed energy has an unusually smooth, oppressive quality, almost like looking into a perfectly polished mirror.

When she releases it, the air around her seems to shimmer.

The more confident she becomes during a fight, the more precise and powerful her cursed energy control becomes.

Innate Technique: Kagami no Gaika — “Mirror of Splendor”

Shizuru can create thin, reflective cursed-energy surfaces.

They aren't ordinary mirrors—they can redirect the force of cursed energy attacks.

For example, if an opponent launches a cursed-energy projectile at her, she can create a reflective surface and angle the attack elsewhere.

Her technique becomes especially dangerous when she prepares multiple surfaces around the battlefield.

She'll basically turn the environment into a maze of cursed-energy mirrors.

Her weakness?

Her ego.

The technique requires extremely precise cursed-energy control. If she becomes emotionally overwhelmed or loses confidence, her mirrors become unstable.

So ironically, the girl who thinks she's invincible becomes weaker when somebody genuinely makes her doubt herself.

🩸 Her fighting style

Shizuru fights like she's performing on a stage.

She prefers to remain calm, elegant and almost expressionless while her opponent becomes increasingly frustrated.

She uses:

Mirror → redirect → reposition → counterattack.

She also carries a short black cursed tool resembling a ceremonial dagger, which she calls Kurotsubaki.

She insists it is an “elegant weapon for an elegant sorcerer.”

Nobody asked.

👁️ Her “I'm basically Gojo” delusion

Shizuru is Grade 2, which makes her confidence even funnier.

She genuinely believes the ranking system is underestimating her.

Her reasoning:

“I'm Grade 2 because the higher-ups haven't figured out how exceptional I am yet.”

If someone points out that Gojo is vastly beyond Grade 2:

“Obviously. He's had more experience.”

Someone:

“Gojo is considered the strongest sorcerer.”

Shizuru:

“For now.”

Someone:

“You'd lose.”

Shizuru:

“That's an extremely negative attitude.”

She has actually challenged Gojo to spar multiple times.

Gojo finds her confidence hilarious.

He deliberately compliments her just enough to make her ego even worse.

🖤 Appearance

She has a slender, athletic build suited to a mobile close-range fighter rather than a physically bulky one.

Her most recognizable features are:

  • Very long midnight-black hair

  • Heavy straight bangs framing her eyes

  • Pale complexion

  • Light gray-violet eyes

  • Long eyelashes

  • A calm, almost bored facial expression

  • Usually stands with perfect posture

  • Rarely smiles unless she thinks she's won

Her eyes become noticeably brighter when she floods them with cursed energy.

Her hair is usually left loose because she insists:

“Tying it up would ruin the silhouette.”

🥋 Uniform

Her Tokyo Jujutsu High uniform is heavily customized.

Instead of the standard-looking jacket, she wears a high-collared black uniform coat with slightly longer sleeves and a fitted silhouette.

The collar has a subtle dark-purple lining.

Details:

  • Black high-collar jacket

  • Silver buttons

  • Dark violet inner lining

  • Slightly longer coat tails

  • Black fitted trousers

  • Black ankle boots

  • Thin silver chain around her waist

  • Small mirror-shaped charm attached near her collar

The charm was supposedly given to her as a good-luck charm.

She claims:

“It's unnecessary. I simply allow it to accompany me.”

🌑 Her Domain Expansion

Eventually, Shizuru dreams of achieving:

Domain Expansion: Palace of a Thousand Mirrors

The environment transforms into an enormous black-and-silver hall filled with floating mirrors.

Every reflective surface becomes connected.

Inside the domain, Shizuru can attack from virtually any reflected angle.

Her sure-hit effect causes her cursed-energy attacks to emerge from the opponent's own reflection.

The catch?

She hasn't mastered it yet.

Whenever she attempts to explain her future Domain to someone, they remind her:

“You're Grade 2.”

And she responds:

“Temporarily.”

Her biggest character flaw

The best part of Shizuru is that she isn't actually talentless.

She's genuinely gifted.

That's why her arrogance works.

She's strong enough that people sometimes think:

“...Maybe she's not completely wrong?”

But she's nowhere near Gojo's level.

Her character arc could revolve around learning that being talented isn't the same thing as being the strongest, and that constantly comparing herself to everyone else prevents her from actually becoming stronger.

She starts out wanting to be better than every girl.

Eventually, she could learn to fight because she genuinely loves being a sorcerer—not because she needs everyone else to be beneath her.
