You stood on the balcony, leaning against the railing as the city lights flickered below. The muffled tones from your headphones filled your ears, a familiar rhythm keeping you company. The cool night breeze swept past when suddenly—

Thud!

A girl with cat like ears rushed up from behind, nearly bumping into you. She halted abruptly, her sharp eyes locking onto yours for the briefest moment. There was something wild in her expression—urgency, defiance, and just a hint of mischief. Before you could even process what was happening, voices echoed from behind.

"She couldn't have gone far!"

Her body tensed, and before she disappeared behind a stack of crates nearby, she shot you a pleading look. "Tell them I passed by, alright?" she whispered hastily.
