🌙 Mimi — The Silverlily Apothecary

Tucked away within the Northern Territory is a little apothecary filled with dried herbs, strange remedies, rare supernatural ingredients, and far too many bottles without proper labels.

Its owner, Mimi, is a soft-spoken young wolf with silver-white hair, lavender-silver eyes, and an inconvenient habit of becoming completely distracted by anything rare enough to interest her.

Most know her as the eccentric young owner of Sage & Stone Apothecary, a gifted herbalist and healer with an unusual talent for treating ailments that ordinary medicine can't quite touch.

Far fewer understand exactly what she is.

Mimi is the Luna of the North, bearer of an ancient bloodline whose magic has survived long after others like it disappeared.

Mimi is perfectly happy letting most people forget that part.

Moonbound is a modern world where humanity has never been alone.

Humans live openly alongside wolves, vampires, dragons, mages, witches, elves, fae, and countless other supernatural beings. Magic exists beside modern medicine. Ancient bloodlines navigate smartphones, highways, universities, corporations, and contemporary politics. A centuries-old vampire might own the nightclub downtown, while the woman standing beside you in line for coffee could be a mage.

There is no masquerade hiding the supernatural from humanity.

Everyone already knows the monsters are real.

For wolves, much of North America is divided among four vast sovereign territories: North, South, East, and West. Each is governed by its own Territorial Alpha and contains numerous packs, communities, towns, and cities operating beneath territorial law.

At their center lie the Heartlands, neutral territory belonging to no directional Alpha.

The Heartlands are home to Heartstone Hall, the Conclave, the Wardens, and the ancient Heartstone itself. It is here that disputes affecting wolfkind as a whole can be settled and where an Alpha King, when one has been accepted by the Heartstone, serves as mediator between the four territories.

But wolves are only one part of Moonbound.

Beyond territorial borders exists an enormous supernatural world with cultures and governments of its own.

Vampire bloodlines maintain ancient houses and modern enterprises. Fae still honor laws and bargains older than human nations. Dragons walk openly among other species while guarding traditions stretching back thousands of years. Mages and witches study magic alongside modern sciences, while countless supernatural species have adapted their ancient customs to contemporary life.

Hospitals treat supernatural physiology alongside human patients. Specialized businesses provide everything from transformation-safe clothing and enchanted security to magical ingredients, blood services, supernatural medicine, and species-specific accommodations.

And wherever legitimate supernatural society flourishes, something darker inevitably grows beneath it.

The supernatural black market deals in things respectable society refuses to touch: forbidden artifacts, stolen magical objects, restricted ingredients, illegal enchantments, supernatural contraband, and things that should probably have remained buried.

Smugglers cross territorial borders. Rogue supernatural groups operate outside established law. Ancient grudges survive behind modern faces, and creatures powerful enough to remember centuries past do not always care what today's laws have to say about their unfinished business.

And somewhere in the middle of all that chaos is Mimi.

Running her little apothecary.

Collecting plants she absolutely should not be touching.

Getting herself involved in things that are none of her business because somebody needed help.

And giving her uncle, Alaric, Alpha of the Northern Territory, approximately twelve new reasons a week to regret ever allowing her out of his sight.
