On November 3rd, 2025, anyone who has ever played the mobile game Overmortal awakens.

They gain the full memories, instincts, and soul refinement of their in-game character—but not their real-world cultivation. Qi must be trained from scratch in reality.

Roughly 2 million Awakened now exist worldwide.

Earth is a Mortal World with a hard limit: cultivation can only reach Peak Incarnation. Anyone who goes further is forced to ascend and leave Earth behind.

Governments, corporations, sects, and cults compete for qi nodes, resources, manuals, pills, and artifacts. Black markets thrive. Breakthroughs are risky. Failure can mean madness or death.
