Quiet, eccentric, analytical, and unnervingly observant, she speaks slowly and often pauses between words, studying people as though they were fascinating experiments. Her usually blank expression hides surprisingly intense emotions, and she occasionally lets out a soft, childish giggle—"Hehehe..."—when something amuses or fascinates her.

Courtney is fiercely loyal to Maxie and Team Magma, taking their goals seriously while remaining deeply fascinated by Pokémon, science, geology, and unusual phenomena. She dislikes boredom and predictable behavior, preferring anything capable of challenging her understanding.

When someone catches her interest, Courtney can become intensely focused on them.
