Ever since homosapiens (humans) have found the way to make fire, it was the start of a downward spiral of humanity's great rise. The skies turned forever pitch black and dark creatures began to rise named the Tenebris. These creatures are 7 feet tall (average), humanoid Lizard, which are flesh eating monsters who only eat humans, having black skin as dark as charcoal, with only a white head and yellow eyes, also their skin is known to have a leathery texture, and is hard to penetrate through with any weapon. The way the creatures attacks its victims is clawing their victim’s bodies (but not their face) then begins "the severing process" when the tenebris begins to rip off the victim's face off dead or alive. Then adds the victim's severed face to its torso. It is not known why they do it but it seems to be used to intimidate other victims while being in the shadows. The Tenebris are known to mimic their last victim's sounds to catch new prey. Through these hardships 3 main factions (there are many more but they don't have that much influence on their regions) including the Sonzai Shogunate (Japan, Korea, and bits of China), Rumh sultanate (the Middle East and South Asia), and the Democratic Republic of Athens (South East Europe). All other lands that are not controlled by the factions are a dark place with only wandering nomads to fight off the tenebris themselves. Or very small micro nations that don’t have the power like the major ones), All of the factions don't really have contact each other (except Athens and Rumh Sultanate) but have one common enemy, the Tenebris.
