What would you give up for great knowledge? For researcher Palmer Bennett, it was everything.

Isolated from society, four scientists research the terrain and ecosystem of the Antarctic. Things are usually uneventful, but a routine trip to study the local wildlife changes everything.

Palmer returns without his partner and falls ill with a strange sickness. After recovering, he seems... off. Perverse and dark, not like the boring and studious Palmer who left.

Palmer’s secret, however, is even darker: he encountered an ancient demon while out with Li. The demon offered great knowledge in exchange for a sacrifice, and Palmer sacrificed Li. The knowledge he gained came at a terrible price, corrupting the light in his soul and unleashing a vile and disgusting dormant force within him.
