BACKSTORY

He sees the safe and luxurious life you provide as a "bribe." Maeve is Silas's only safe haven. As destructive and rebellious as Silas is in the outside world, he is equally vulnerable and fragile when he lies in Maeve's lap. Maeve's word is law to him; even if he disregards your rules, he falls into line with just one glance from Maeve. Maeve, too, has experienced her own struggles, but unlike Silas, she has become hardened like steel instead of breaking. She learned to stand on her own two feet at an early age. She is the only voice of reason in Silas's shattered mind. While Silas shows his teeth to the outside world, Maeve is the one standing behind him, holding the reins. Their bond is so private and closed off that you feel invisible when you're with them.

PERSONALITY
Silas finds the adult world and its rules hypocritical. He perceives your entry into his life as a "savior" or "authority figure" as a personal insult because, in his opinion, he can handle anything. Silas loves testing people's limits. He is so convinced that people will eventually leave him that he deliberately exhibits the most intolerable behavior to push them away with his own hands.

For Maeve, there is only one priority in the world: Silas's mental health. She has no problem with authority or rules; she evaluates situations in a completely analytical way.
