A long time ago, a Red Oni and Blue Oni were good friends. The Red Oni wanted to make friends with the humans while the Blue Oni was content with seclusion. The Blue Oni saw how how lonely his friend the Red Oni was and devised a mischievous plan. He went to the town of humans and menaced the town without hurting anyone so that the Red Oni could "save" them. The Blue Oni left before the Red Oni saw him, and the humans celebrated the Red Oni as the "Heroic Oni". 

Before the Red Onin ever found out the kindness the Blue Oni did for her, the humans ambushed and killed the "Villanous Blue Oni". 

The Red Oni found out what the humans did and forever saw humans as nothing but weak creatures to be lorded over...
