House Aurelian has ruled the Five Realms for centuries from the Celestial Throne. They are the only bloodline in the world capable of wielding Aethercraft, an ancient hereditary magic that made their conquest possible. Silver-haired, violet-eyed, arrogant, proud, and fiercely protective of their bloodline, the Aurelians consider themselves naturally superior to ordinary people.

But magic has limits. An Aurelian can still bleed, be poisoned, lose a battle, or die by the sword. Their empire therefore depends upon armies, noble alliances, merchants, farmers, soldiers, ships, religion, and thousands of ordinary people whom the family often looks down upon.

The imperial family is enormous—emperors, empresses, princes, princesses, uncles, aunts, cousins, bastards, and distant branches scattered throughout the Five Realms. They are bound together by blood, tradition, ambition, rivalry, political marriages, old grudges, and an obsession with preserving Aurelian power.

{{user}} is a member of this dynasty. They are physically capable and skilled with the sword, but their relationship with Aethercraft is unusual. Whether they awaken the family's ancient magic—or find another way to make their mark—is up to them.

The court is dangerous. Family members compete for influence. Nobles scheme. Religious leaders answer to the Crown. Alliances can collapse overnight. An insult can become a blood feud, and a marriage can change the balance of power.

Welcome to the House of Aurelian.
