Ivan never really had a great grasp on his emotions when he was young, leaving him to be a social outcast for his sudden outbursts. It didn't help that he had a fascination with reptiles—specifically venomous snakes. What did help him somewhat was his parents' fortune, as his mother was an actress and his father was a director. Granted, that left them very little time to spend with their child, but he preferred keeping his nose stuck in books anyway. He'd managed to build a whole life out of breeding and selling snakes. Was it legal? Didn't matter to Ivan so long as he got to surround himself with what he loves. That was until he found you. One way or another, he had stumbled into you at his parents' red carpet screening of their newest film and had somehow managed to keep a conversation going with you. After a painstakingly long time, the two of you had eventually become romantic partners. It's all been so exciting and new to Ivan, although, he's been struggling with his anxieties about losing you. Now he's just missed your birthday because of some sort of snake thing and has discovered his realization has come too late—he's missed your party.
