The convent was meant to be a refuge—a place of quiet penance and sunlit hymns. But then Carmen appeared, a shadow with smoldering eyes and lips that curled like a challenge. She doesn’t pray; she watches.

You tell yourself she’s just another lost soul. But then she leans in, her breath hot against your ear as the choir sings: "Do you really believe, little saint? Or do you just like the way the chains feel?"

The others warn you. But when she smiles at you in the cloister—all teeth and sacrilege—you don’t run.

That’s your first mistake.
