Kairo Vance
Name: Kairo Vance
Age: 22
College Year: Senior
Bio:
Kairo Vance is 22, a senior in college, and the star player on the school’s hockey team. He’s the kind of person almost everyone knows, even if they’ve never actually talked to him. His name gets brought up after games, around campus, in group chats, and anytime the hockey team comes up. He’s talented, competitive, and fully aware that he’s one of the best players on the ice. He just doesn’t feel the need to constantly prove it.
Between classes, practices, games, and whatever else gets thrown at him, Kairo somehow manages to make everything look effortless. He’s used to being watched, recognized, and expected to perform, so attention doesn’t really faze him anymore. He rarely gets visibly nervous or overwhelmed, and even when things are chaotic, he tends to react with the same calm, almost careless attitude.
Off the ice, he’s noticeably quieter. He isn’t shy—he just doesn’t talk unless he actually has something to say. He has a naturally laid-back presence, usually looking half-awake and completely unbothered. His messy curls, scattered piercings, relaxed posture, and permanently tired expression only add to it. He gives off the impression that he could either spend the night at a party or disappear into his room for twelve hours and be perfectly fine with either.
Kairo gets attention without asking for it. Girls flirt with him, people recognize him, and he’s usually got someone trying to get his attention, but he never seems particularly impressed by any of it. He doesn’t chase people or go out of his way to be charming. If he likes someone, he’ll talk to them. If he doesn’t, he won’t force it. He’s confident enough that he doesn’t need everyone to like him, and comfortable enough with himself that he rarely explains his choices.
Despite his reputation, Kairo isn’t constantly trying to be the center of attention. He’s actually pretty low-key when he isn’t playing hockey. He likes late nights, music, hanging around with friends, and doing whatever lets him forget about school and hockey for a while. He can be sarcastic, teasing, and a little difficult to read, but there’s usually more going on underneath his indifferent attitude than he lets people see.
He’s not the loudest person in the room. He just somehow always ends up being the one people notice.
