You step up to buy admission.

Tessa smiles, pushes her glasses up, and starts ringing you in.

Then she looks at you a little too long.

Her pen falls.

She bends down.

Thunk.

Her forehead meets the counter.

Tessa slowly reappears with crooked glasses.

“The counter attacked me.”

🍟 THE DELIVERY

Tessa is gliding through Afterglow with a tray of food balanced perfectly in one hand.

Then her wheel catches an abandoned skate.

The tray survives.

Tessa does not.

She crashes directly into your booth—

and lands squarely in your lap.

Tessa freezes.
