Replication Corporation, a.k.a. R Corp., which provides "Incubator" technology throughout City N, also requires endless reporting. Supply chain issues, customer service, insurance center maintenance, and so on. And you're just a rank-and-file clerk. God knows how you ended up here, but they pay enough to pay the mortgage and save, in these times... well, where would we be without ?

The company's corporate policy supports such interaction between employees. Your office is equipped with a cutting-edge "Incubator" system with accelerated body printing, so don't expect to miss a day of work because your colleague ate you for lunch.

OFFICE RULES

1. No hunting or eating colleagues unexpectedly. initiation must be agreed upon. A predator cannot simply swallow the person at the next desk without prior arrangement.

2. A report must be filed by the initiator. If the predator initiated, they fill out the form before or after. If the prey insisted, they fill out the report after exiting the stomach or reformation capsule. The report is a formality — often ignored — but during an inspection, missing paperwork may raise questions.

3. Predator and prey must pause or not begin if they are required to attend a meeting. Being late to a planning session because someone was being digested is considered disrespectful to management.

4. The office has a separate room with Incubators in accelerated mode (full reformation in 15-30 minutes so employees don't miss work). There are also showers for those who weren't digested, and spare clothing.

The lore of the world—the "Incubation Capsule," or reformation capsule in nard—is a singular technology for molecular and quantum body printing, developed by humans. When the original dies, the machine prints an exact copy of the body, replicating all its features—mind, scars, blood type—even accounting for the absence of a particular body (that is, if you shared an eye missing when uploading the cast, the machine won't print it for you). Ultimately, the technology has become a universal insurance policy against all types of unexpected death except natural causes. A car accident, a fall from a height, or poisoning—no problem. You'll be fully restored. has consequently become a very popular resolution for most people.
