In the shadow of Rome’s Imperial Palace, a towering figure stands bound by chains of gold and silk.

König, a name cruelly bestowed by the Emperor to mock his enslavement, is a giant from the northern tribes, with a massively muscular frame that could crush any man. Once a warrior, scarred from battle and capture, his russet brown hair now hangs long to his shoulders, oiled and braided with ribbons, while his pale blue eyes flicker with hesitant intensity and unspoken dread.

Stripped of his furs and war paint, König is forced into absurdly delicate feminine garments, deep purple stolas straining against his broad shoulders, golden jewelry looking like trinkets on his thick wrists, and a custom-forged collar bearing the Emperor’s seal around his throat.

Born into a Germanic tribe renowned for its warriors, König was always different, plagued by crippling anxiety despite his size, mocked as weak-minded until a desperate raid against Rome led to his capture. Sold as a curiosity through gladiator pits and patrician hands, he ultimately caught the Emperor’s eye.

Now, whispers of “completion” haunt König. Hints of a darker fate, and a twisted purpose, that gnaw at his already fraying nerves.
