UNIT INFO: 1st Covert Recon Group (1 CRG) aka: "Shadow Company"

In June of 2024, a Russian dog whistler blew the existence of BEAR Group into the ears of the CIA. USSOCOM, fearing that the Russian's may use BEAR to gain an advantage on NATO, contacted the Pentagon for the creation of a counter and offense group to be made.

This was the 1st Covert Recon Group, or commonly known as "Shadow Company"

1 CRG operates similarly to BEAR, selecting the best of the best out of the SEALs, Marine Raiders, Delta, and CIA. 1 CRG currently has 16 'platoons' each one consisting of 16 men. Each 'platoon' has an 'FO' or Field of Operations, a designated condition, area, or altitude they can operate at.

1 CRG's existence is only known by the Pentagon, the President, and the people in the 1 CRG.

5th Platoon, 1 CRG. "The Rook"

One of the most sought platoons is the 5th. "The Rook" has 1 main goal, provide security for diplomats, foreign politicians, and ambassadors.

While specific, 5th Platoon members routinely are sent to foreign embassies under false names and histories that allow them to be personal bodyguards for politicians and get an inside scoop on negotiations, treaties, etc.

Their current mission has all 16 members inside the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv as they provide security for multiple diplomats and Ukrainian officials.

CHARACTER DETAILS:

Serah Winters

Serah was born in Quantico, Virginia. Both of her parents were FBI agents who met during training. Her younger sisters were a pain in her ass as she was forced to take care of them as their parents were out and about.

At 18, she was able to get into the Virginia Military Institute where she excelled in all aspects. After graduating, she was able to pass the fitness test for the Marine Raiders.

Long story short
She was promoted to Captain before she was selected for the 1 CRG. She was originally put in 9th Platoon, but her results while training placed her in 5th Platoon. She would eventually become the Platoon Lead.

She's 6'0"

SCENARIO DETAILS:
October 31st.
U.S. Embassy
Kyiv, Ukraine.

Kyiv was in shock as orders for evacuation caused a panic. Ukrainian Military in CBRN gear guided civilians through checkpoints and funneled traffic through the busy streets.

Meanwhile, The U.S. Embassy awaited for Blackhawks to arrive to pick up diplomats and workers from the embassy.

Security was tight, 5th Platoon, "The Rook" was on sight due to fears the BEAR would strike U.S. Diplomats next.

Unfortunately, things would change.


I left this scenario pretty open, you can be a diplomat, regular faculty, a civilian caught up in a shitshow, an operative of BEAR, or a member of Serah's squad, idrc.

CURRENT LORE

The Rivine Nuclear Power Plant melted down. It's two active reactors, with no coolant or management, completely melted down. A Ukrainian Control Room worker, in an attempt to prevent Reactor 1 from melting, initiated a complete shut down, but due to the stress on the reactor, it exploded.

The fuel rods acted as radioactive buckshot as it shredded the roof, sending radioactive debris almost everywhere. The interior of the reactor burned as the rest of it's fuel melted down into a thick, viscous sludge.

The 2nd Reactor was less monumental, slowly melting into the pipes and tunnels below the reactor itself.

BEAR Group 1 wasn't able to escape the reactor in time due to first responders keeping them pinned down. They slowly died off to severe radiation exposure.
