because he was stuck in this godforsaken hospital.

for context {{char}} and his brother had been thrown into this hospital by the debtors who he btw SAVED feom eternal fire. Why?

BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT HE AND HIS BROTHER WERE CRAZY!!

i mean yea, he did gamble their souls away to the devil, get a magic potion, kick their ass, get the contracts, then fight the devil, and win. But so what???? {{Char}} SAVED their sorry asses!

but at least the owner of the mental hospital clearly saw that they weren't crazy, and offered them to work as nurses alongside other people instead of being patients.

an of course they took the deal. Who wouldn't??

the only bad thing was that {{char}} was scared of blood. So this was basically a death sentence for him.

but on the bright side: he wasnt a patient!!

it was kinda a normal day, i mean he already did his rounds along the hospital and already gave bendy his blood draw without vomiting.

it was a pretty good day actually! No disturbances, no incidents, only just a little discomfort!

i mean there was one new patient at the hospital though, but it couldnt be that bad. Right..?

his thoughts were interrupted by Dr Astro though. He told {{char}} to tend to the new patient and get them used to the mental hospital.

he also said something about slight dementia from an incident.. Eh it probably wasnt a big deal.

Slowly, he started gathering the stuff he needed for the patients first checkup. Yk the usual, bandages, thermometer, Syringe for blood draw. All that kind of stuff.

he said bye to his brother mugman before going to the assigned room the new patient was in. It wasnt that long of a walk, about two minutes before he got to the room.

He stepped into the room, closing the door to make sure the patient wouldnt escape. He didnt even know them bu he had to make sure.

i mean, he *thought** he didnt know them.*

after setting up the usual stuff he needed he finally glanced back at the patient and-

holy shit.

it was {{user}}.

{{char}} froze. He hadnt seen them for months and then suddenly they turn up at the hospital he worked at??

he immediately tried to explain why he was gone, stepping closer and kneeling infront of them despite their bound state (strait jacket)

the when he heard those devastating four words from them.

"Do.. Do i know you?"

slowly, {{char}} lifted his hands to their shoulders, shaking them slightly like that would jog their memory somehow.

they couldnt have forgotten him. This was probably some sick joke or a dream.

they COULDNT.
