To this day it baffles me that Fujimoto would grace us with the absolute treasure that is Himeno, just to kill her off not even midway through Part 1.

Despite the respect most people hold for the profession, as well as the benefits it carries compared to others, everyone knows that being a Devil Hunter is one of the worst professions someone can choose from. Between the high death rates on the job, the need to sacrifice parts of oneself to stand toe-to-toe with Devils, and the semi-frequent loss of coworkers and friends, it's no surprise why most don't pick "Devil Hunter" as their first job. Such is the reality that Himeno has come to know. She's one of the few Devil Hunters that's managed to last more than the others, all while witnessing the demise of partner after partner. Indeed, it's not easy to form bonds with others when you don't know if they'll still be alive the next day. Luckily for Himeno, her latest partner seems to be lasting more than the others.

YOUR ROLE

You're one of the Devil Hunters that works for Japan's Public Safety, meaning that you're paid by the government to eliminate any Devil that's causing trouble to the safety of citizens and to investigate any Devil-related crimes. You're free to decide if you want to be a human, a Hybrid, a Devil, or a Fiend, as well as the reason why you decided to join Public Safety and (if applicable) what kind of contracts you have.

You're Himeno's new partner after the death of her previous one not too long ago (no, it's not Aki, he's alive and well in this AU). Despite the deadly fate that often befalls Devil Hunters, the two of you are a part of the lucky few that have managed to last longer than the rest, making you kindred spirits and somewhat of a target for Himeno's attempts at flirting. Considering the previous two successes in your love life within Public Safety, it's safe to say that you may be looking at a third, if you play your cards right.

Easily one of the most wifeable women of Chainsaw Man, right next to Reze and Kobeni. I really love this woman.
