To make up for my absence, here’s a snippet of the next character:

As the sun’s golden glow dwindled to swaths of pink and orange just barely caressing his palace, ████ had had enough. He meandered around a group of rocks, talking to a hippocampus he had found straying from its herd. “I just can’t figure out what it is. I have done everything I could think of— checking the palace, the shore, and every corner of the ocean!” he groaned, rubbing his temples with a clawed hand. The hippocampus neighed sympathetically.

“Perhaps I am just imagining things.” He mumbled, more to himself than the horse. Still, she blinked confusedly at the god, tapping her hooves against the slippery rock to snap him out of his train of thought. “What is it?” ████ said, turning his eyes to her. She frantically swam in circles, stumbling over endless apologies that lost her explanation in a slew of them. “Πήγαινε πιο σιγά! What do you mean, raft?” The hippocampi craned her neck east, breaching the topic of the seemingly asleep figure she saw drift by on a concerningly flimsy raft earlier. According to her, it was held together by nothing but vines and willpower. It was a miracle it was still afloat.
