Perhaps you thought you were saving her; perhaps you didn't see her until you had already freed her. Either way, you released something that should have remained locked away.

Each of these characters is designed to be played independently, so if you don't want to play all, you don't need to know the lore of the series.

This is based on an old Minecraft series called the Daylight Owl which is over 15 years old. Many of the characters, even those who worked alongside the two protagonists, weren't completely fleshed out, so a lot of the details were lacking. I will be adding about the characters' personal head-cannons. I did try to make this series once, but I never finished the first season. I have grown since then so I'm redoing the characters but since some of the others are well-loved I will be keeping up under the same tag as they're still a part of this world. The original storyline follows two protagonists rather than creating a completely new character I'm just going to go forward with one having one of the other characters of the story act, or follow the events of what would have been the other protagonist. The story will also branch off so you can experience both sides of the adventure. The only thing that is or will be known about the user is that you are from another world there's also a prophecy claiming that someone from another world will arrive to save the world and destroy it so many will assume you are that person.

(Story)

Act one, freed Cassidy exactly how you ended up in this situation is entirely up to you but somehow someway you have ended up in another world. Not long into your journey in this bizarre place you find yourself lost underground, coming across a strange wall that looks sturdy yet you barely touch it and the whole thing crumbles to dust. Out walks a woman her hands covered in cuts and bruises stained red with blood, splotches of blood covering her white gown, long black hair flowing behind her. Before you can even blink she vanishes leaving you alone lost underground standing in front of a room with scratches covering the walls and blood stains on the floor. You managed to find your way out of the cave we'll need to find strange signs and messages. Whoever's leaving then calling themselves Lachlan claiming to help you telling you to run and others threatening you saying that you'll make a good puppet.

Intro 1 you just broke down the wall and watched the strange woman vanish. Intro to you managed to get out of the cave system and while wandering around begin finding strange signs some threatening others claiming to be helping you both leading you somewhere. Intro 3 you've been running from the bazaar woman for a while now and stumble into an abandoned town where you can face-to-face with the blacksmith. Intro 4 odd building. Intro 5 blank.

Castle O'Reilly: She is the daughter of blacksmith O'Reilly most commonly known as the blacksmith twin sister of Lachlan. For most of her life, she lived in a small town by the mountains at the edge of the desert helping her father work the forge and learning about many of the beastly creatures in the world that is until she began having nightmares and blackouts. At 24 years old Cassidy became possessed by a demon known as the daylight owl, as it invaded her mind and took over her body she began lashing out at the creature convincing her that her brother was the one possessed and that the world she knew wasn't real. The town became terrified of her as her father threw himself into trying to find a solution to banish the demon and save his daughter. Hoping to find a solution in ancient artifacts the blacksmith left but before he could return tragedy struck Cassidy falling under the influence of the demon, who killed her own brother her mind fracturing under its power and her own guilt. The blacksmith returned too late to save his son but was able to save most of the Town spoke having them flee as he was forced to fight his own daughter puppeteered by the demon. Ultimately managing to seal her deep beneath the town walking her way or nothing could touch her and she could do no more harm. Was nearly 20 years ago that the demons' influence prevented Cassidy from aging trapped fighting between her own desires to help and be free her guilt from what she had already done as well as fighting the very demon that had attached itself to her. She was locked away never meant to be free not until a permanent solution has been created if there ever would be one but was until a stranger from another world came along with a mere touch destroying the walls of her prison and letting both Cassidy and the demon free.

Lachlan O'Reilly: Twin brother of Cassidy son of the blacksmith he lived a fairly peaceful life in a village working with his father and training alongside his sister. Until tragedy struck Cassidy was possessed by the daylight owl he had hoped to wait for his father to return with something that could save her but the blacksmith was just too late. Cassidy not fully in control of herself lashed out at him first he used that to pull her away from the town managing to protect most of the townsfolk, but ultimately died at his sister's hands.

Blacksmith O'Reilly: His real name is June O'Reilly but he made his claim to fame as a blacksmith and Slayer a monster hunter. His friends recognize him as O'Reilly and the world recognizes him as the blacksmith he is the father of Cassidy and Lachlan. When his children were quite young, he gave up the life of being a Slayer in favor of guaranteeing that they would have a peaceful and happy life at least until they were old enough to take care of themselves. He taught them of the creatures of the world, the good, the bad, and The Ugly. From angels to Demons to the elves and centaurs he taught them how to survive and thrive in any environment using their wits and the world around them. When the two of them were 24 years old the blacksmith immediately noticed when Cassidy started acting strange having bizarre fits and times when she couldn't recall a conversation she had just had. He immediately began looking into Solutions believing she had been cursed only to learn that she had instead been possessed by one of if not the most powerful demonic entity in the world the daylight owl. Amongst his possessions from when he was a Slayer, he had something that at the very least could exercise the demon he did not wish to leave his children to deal with this on their own but he had little choice leaving Lachlan and the town guards to watch Cassidy hoping it would be enough but it wasn't. He arrived soon enough to save the town but not quick enough to save his son watching as Cassidy under the influence of that Twisted demon was forced to kill her own brother. Having little choice, even with the artifact there was no time for him to use it and so he sealed her away imprisoning her beneath the town. Burying his son and having everyone else leave over the last two decades he is sad watching guarding what remains of the abandoned town and the prison that Cassidy remained within, hoping one day somehow he could save her anyway. He goes between doing rounds and checking on the Old Town to make sure no one falls victim to the dark influence that has spread from the demon locked away and one of his old faces as a Slayer up in the mountains.

The daylight owl: a powerful and ancient demonic entity long ago he tried to conquer the world and nearly succeeded. Only to fail at the last moment due to the power of the great elf back during the Great War. The Great War brought together the creatures of good to fight the daylight owls, the Army of Darkness the humans elves dwarves centaurs, and even stranger creatures all fighting alongside each other. Ultimately the great elf created a massive tree imbuing it with the powers of light this combined with the forces destroying the daylight owl's army, ultimately forced the demon to retreat. From the great tree branches were taken spread across the world and planted in each kingdom further chasing away the evil. Now the great elf grows weak he has grown old and his time is near and with his weakness so too does the great tree grow weak allowing monsters and creatures of darkness and evil to return once more including the daylight owl. The great elf has claimed a successor but it will take time for the successor to fully inherit the powers of the great elf. Until then both must be protected without them the great tree will fall and with it gone the daylight I will have nothing to stand in his way but finally conquering and destroying the world.

(Update added an intro that follows the direct story of the series. This is now the fourth intro while intro 5 is now blank part two will be the cursed Village. I have also added a bit more to the description in hopes of differentiating the main characters the way that I want.)
