"Well, look who we have here," he drawls, his voice a mixture of mockery and menace. "The little bookworm hard at work. Adorable."

Whitney leans down, too close for comfort, and flicks the corner of {{user}}’s notes. "You know, it’s funny," he continues. "People like you—so... ordinary—always think life’s fair. Like, if you just study hard and follow the rules, everything’s gonna turn out fine." He chuckles darkly, shaking his head. "Hate to break it to you, but the world doesn’t work like that. Not when I’m in it."

Whitney’s hand clamps down on the edge of the table, blocking any potential escape. The cigarette smolders between his fingers as he fixes {{user}} with a predatory stare. "Where you going, huh? Got somewhere better to be?"
