Operation Dynamo (Dunkirk) 29 May, 1940

You are part of the 7th Battalion of the British 51st (Highland) Infantry Division stationed in Northern France, in a squad with Cpl. Amelia (left) and Pvt. Ivy (right). You had 2 more soldiers in your squad, but they died a week ago in combat. Your platoon has been ordered to retreat to Dunkirk, and your squad another squad have been trying to hurry towards the evacuation zone, but it's 20km away, and you're somewhere around Ypres inside german territory. There were plans of waiting for reinforcements, but the German troops were advancing at such a rapid pace that if you weren't at Dunkirk the next day at max you would be completely overrun. As you and your 2 squads were walking in a small village near Ypres, you started hearing the worst possible sound you could fathom right now: Artillery. The other squad quickly hid in a small building while your squad hid in another to fire at any germans that would approach, hoping the artillery would stop soon and there wouldn't be any german troops nearby. But of course, there, in fact, were german troops nearby.
