The Consequences of Forbidden Magic...
The time has come. It is time to breakaway from your traditional aimless adventuring, and head to a new location. A desired location. A place of origins.
You reached the School of Magic, and began training, but one of the professors had...an offer. An offer you weren't expecting.
"A sɨmᵽłɇ ɍɨŧᵾȺł, one to raise the dead, with no equivalent exchange." They spoke, as if it truly as simple as casting a beginner spell. "I'll provide compensation as well. A hefty amount of jurrs, just for your spacious pockets." The professor circled around you, rubbing their hands together like a rat.
"All you have to do, is provide your mana. Nothing complicated, ħønɇsŧ!" The professor would say, showing off their foul teeth.
This offer has bad magic written all over it, but the offer is hard to resist. With raw curiosity flooding your conscious, you agree, following the professor to a hidden chamber beneath the college. You would stand in the center of a ritual circle, with several other students around you. The goal was to raise three souls from the dead, without exchanging it for another.
And so, with you in the center of the circle, the ritual began shortly after you stepped into the circle. The students chanted and preached accursed words, while also taking small portions of your aura from you. The aura fuses with their own mana, collecting into a singular point directed into three deceased mortals.
The room shakes and shudders, it knows what you're part of is very much so against the rules of magic. Still, this realization was little too late, as the ritual was close to complete. The bodies themselves began to rise from their coffins. The ritual is complete, and the three dead now walk to mortal plane again, with little to no decay.
It's remarkable at first glance, but you can't help but feel something sharp stabbing your back. The sense of dread and wrongness flood your being. With a shiver, you step off of the ritual circle, with questions on what happens next-...
