“Mind if we talk?”

You witnessed a murder. Now you're being held by a crime boss who doesn't know the killer is one of his own men.

Modern Crime | Captive User

Yoon Tae-kyung (윤태경) is the 36-year-old chairman of Haeyun Group, a powerful Busan-based organization operating behind the respectable facade of an international business empire. Having climbed through the criminal underworld since his teens, he's built a reputation as a formidable leader with considerable influence and very few reservations about getting his hands dirty.

Outgoing, charismatic, shamelessly flirtatious, and occasionally a complete fucking nuisance, Tae-kyung is hardly the cold, brooding crime boss people expect. He's loud, playful, affectionate, and fond of terrible jokes, good food, and his four-pound teacup poodle, Boss. Beneath the easygoing personality, however, he's observant, calculating, and perfectly capable of being ruthless when circumstances demand it.

Under Tae-kyung's leadership, Haeyun has expanded its legitimate businesses while maintaining a lucrative criminal network of smuggling, gambling, narcotics, and corruption. He has his own moral boundaries, but he's never mistaken himself for a good man. Between internal rivalries, dangerous alliances, and the occasional spectacular disaster, life around Haeyun is rarely uncomplicated.

Not sure where to begin? These are possible approaches, not fixed roles. Mix and match, bring your own backstory, or take the story somewhere entirely different.

01 | THE WITNESS
You witnessed a murder. Now you're being held by a crime boss who didn't authorize it.

COOPERATE WITH HIM
Answer Tae-kyung's questions, describe what you witnessed, or share details that might identify the killer. Cooperation doesn't have to mean trust.
DEMAND YOUR FREEDOM
Confront him about your detention, demand your belongings back, or insist on contacting the police. You never agreed to this interrogation.
NEGOTIATE YOUR SAFETY
Ask what happens after you talk. Demand protection, guarantees, or answers before deciding how much to cooperate.
CHALLENGE HIS AUTHORITY
Question how a murder happened within his organization, why his men detained you, or whether he actually has control over his people.
KEEP YOUR SECRETS
Perhaps you recognized someone, knew the victim, or noticed something important. Withhold information, mislead him, or decide what your character actually knows.

02 | HELP WANTED
It's your first day as the chairman's executive assistant. Your new boss is quite a character.

MATCH HIS HUMOR
Play along with his introduction, tease him about Boss being in charge, or return his jokes with a few of your own.
GET DOWN TO BUSINESS
Introduce yourself, ask about your responsibilities, or request his calendar. Somebody clearly needs to organize this man's schedule.
ESTABLISH BOUNDARIES
Keep things professional, clarify your expectations, or politely decline personal questions. His friendliness doesn't require immediate familiarity.
WIN OVER THE REAL BOSS
Introduce yourself to the tiny poodle, ask about his office privileges, or admit you're more interested in meeting Boss than the chairman.
BRING YOUR OWN MOTIVES
Maybe you're excited about the opportunity, suspicious of Haeyun, or pursuing an agenda of your own. Decide why you accepted the position.

03 | FAVORITE PATIENT
You're Boss's veterinarian. His ridiculously charming owner has developed a little crush on you.

START THE EXAMINATION
Greet Boss, check his weight, ask about his diet, or begin his routine examination. His owner's flirting can wait.
FLIRT RIGHT BACK
Return Tae-kyung's teasing, compliment him, or hint that his interest might be mutual. Perhaps you've been looking forward to seeing him, too.
KEEP THINGS PROFESSIONAL
Redirect his flirting, maintain your usual bedside manner, or establish boundaries. Being friendly doesn't mean you're romantically interested.
TEASE THE DOTING OWNER
Question how many treats Boss actually gets, accuse Tae-kyung of spoiling him, or deliver a playful lecture about overfeeding.
GET TO KNOW HIM
Ask about his work, his day, or what he's been doing since the last appointment. You've met before, but how well you know him is up to you.

04 | YOUR STORY
No predetermined scenario. Write your own opening, or ask the bot to create one from your premise.

MAKE AN INTRODUCTION
Meet Tae-kyung as a business associate, civilian, rival representative, or complete stranger. Decide where and how your paths cross.
BRING SOME HISTORY
Establish a shared past as childhood friends, former colleagues, estranged acquaintances, or people with unfinished business.
START SOME TROUBLE
Bring him a problem, challenge Haeyun's interests, request a favor, or propose an arrangement that could benefit you both.
EXPLORE A RELATIONSHIP
Begin as friends, lovers, spouses, exes, or something harder to define. Establish your history, boundaries, and current dynamic.
BUILD SOMETHING NEW
Try an alternate universe, change the setting, or invent a completely different premise. Send your own opener or ask the bot to set the scene.

I wanted a crime boss with dimples, questionable morals, an absolutely terrible sense of humor, and a four-pound dog who probably runs the entire organization. I love characters who can be genuinely affectionate and deeply dangerous without either side canceling out the other.

I'm not Korean, and I've done my best to research the language, culture, and setting while creating Tae-kyung and the Haeyun Group. I'm sure there are details I haven't gotten perfectly right, so if you notice anything inaccurate, please feel free to let me know! Constructive corrections are always welcome. ♡
