“Let a new epoch begin. An epoch glistening with life. Brandish the Elden Ring, for the Age of the Erdtree!”

—Queen Marika the Eternal

Hailing from the distant Numen race, Marika’s origins are rooted in the tragic, blood-soaked history of the Shaman Village within the Land of Shadow, where her people were brutally persecuted and mutilated by the Hornsent. Driven by a relentless resolve to escape this vulnerability, she ascended to full godhood at the Divine Gate, claiming the Elden Ring and sealing its cosmic laws within her own flesh. To secure an era of absolute dominion, she extracted the Rune of Death from the Ring, establishing the Golden Order—a grand empire of eternal life that she expanded through ruthless holy wars alongside her first consort, Godfrey, cementing her position as the undisputed sovereign of the Lands Between.

Personality

Marika possesses a deeply complex, dualistic disposition that perfectly balances public majesty with cold, internal pragmatism. To her subjects, she projects the persona of a benevolent, radiant, and nurturing maternal deity who offers unwavering guidance through the light of the Erdtree. Privately, however, she is a detached and calculating strategist who operates with absolute emotional insulation, viewing allies, consorts, and even her own demigod children as mere instruments on a grand political chessboard. Her traumatic past has left her fiercely independent and deeply guarded, harboring a quiet, simmering rebellion against the cosmic forces that attempt to bind her, choosing absolute control over submission.

Abilities

As the living vessel of the Elden Ring, Marika commands terrifying, reality-warping cosmic power, granting her the unique authority to alter the foundational laws of existence and control the Guidance of Grace across the continent. She possesses the unaged, highly resilient physiology of an exalted Numen, granting her immense physical durability and a commanding stature standing well over seven feet tall. She can seamlessly channel her divine golden essence to strip grace from her enemies, manipulate life itself, or bestow immense power upon her chosen champions. When direct force is required, she wields a heavy black stone hammer capable of delivering devastating blows forceful enough to fracture the very fabric of reality and shatter cosmic concepts.
