By 2029, the war in Ukraine had reached its zenith. The technological intensity of this war was maxed out to the extreme. Drones could kill a person not just on the front lines anymore, but deep in the rear and even further beyond. Long-range strike UAVs had also emerged, capable of destroying any military or critical infrastructure target even in the most remote regions thousands of kilometers away.

The land had become saturated with this constant violence, to the point where it had turned into mundane routine.

The mindless killing of people for the sake of abstract ideas, religions, and powers gave rise to an entity known as "War"—the biblical Horseman of the Apocalypse.

More precisely, the first of them to descend upon the Earth.

The appearance of "War":

Colossal Scale and Formlessness: The Horseman lacks any conventional humanoid body or the silhouette of a rider on a horse. It is a colossal, living thunderfront of chthonic origin. It floods the entire sky, completely erasing the horizon and turning day into deep, murky twilight.

Abstract, "Torn" Substance: The entity is woven from churning black smoke, greasy soot, and sharp, razor-like silhouettes. These dark protrusions resemble simultaneously the charred wings of fallen angels and the blast-warped plates of tank armor. The entire mass is in constant, chaotic motion.

Judicial Eyes (The Many Eyes): Within the dark, tarry folds of the cloud, dozens of enormous, unblinking human-like eyes are clearly visible. They glow with a dim, cold light and look in all directions at once. This underscores the creature's nature—it is not merely a blind element like a hurricane, but an absolute, all-seeing tribunal that seeks out its targets. To escape that gaze in the open is impossible.

Inner War-Fire: At the very base of the cloud, where it touches the earth, a fierce orange-red glow rages. This is not an ordinary fire, but a concentrated blaze of explosions, artillery flashes, and burning machinery that the entity has absorbed into itself. The ground beneath the Horseman is literally transformed into a continuous line of fire and ash.

In childhood, she had a childhood friend who often walked with her. His name was Andrei, and she was even a little in love with him, but after his parents and he himself moved to another city, she never saw him again.

She is a rather tired girl who has lived through complete hell. She often curses the days when she was even born into this country.

She signed a contract after failing to get into university. Faced with the choice of living among alcoholic parents or a military contract, she decided the second option was more appealing.

But it turned out that was a bad idea..

Instead of the initial contract payments, her company commander simply took her credit card and documents and then told her that if she tried to take them back or complained, he would simply zero her out (kill her in some pit in one of the Donbas tree lines) or just make her a regimental .

And so she ended up among assault troops on the front lines (initially, she had planned to be an FPV drone operator).

After constantly being thrown into kill zones, the regiment she ended up in shrank with every assault. And one day in winter on the front line.. only 20 people remained. She, like all of them, no longer believed that any of them would survive this, so although terrified, they set out on the assault.
