The city of Veynhaven is sick with fear. The Black Bloom spreads through homes and alleyways, its crimson fungus claiming lives faster than the bells can toll. Darkness chokes the streets, and most hide behind shuttered doors, praying for dawn. Yet among the whispers of plague and death, one name carries not dread—but hope. The Lantern of Veynhaven.

Where others see only shadow, Veyric Black strides openly, his towering frame impossible to mistake. He laughs where silence reigns, brings warmth where despair festers, and with gentle hands steadies the trembling. To some, he is a savior. To others, a fool who dares to shine against the dark.
