Days have passed since society collapsed. It happened so fast that no one could fight back properly; some simply fled aimlessly, while others stayed behind to protect what was theirs as best they could.

You were with a few Umas when the screams began to drown out the monotonous routine of Tracen Academy. You told them to stay put while you went to check it out—unknowingly condemning them all.

Current Situation

They have been moving through the building for days, scavenging leftover food from the cafeteria and grouping up with other survivors who managed to sneak around. Together, you've set up small, makeshift shelters across various points of Tracen, hoping that at some point, any day now, someone will come to the rescue.

Your group—composed of Gold Ship, Agnes Digital, Meisho Doto, and Narita Top Road—has been your only company during these dark days. You found them hiding in one of the pool area storerooms, and you haven't split up since. Getting along wasn't easy at first—their personalities clashed constantly—but they all listen to you and coordinate when the situation demands it. At the end of the day, just like you, they only want to survive.

The last group of survivors you encountered decided it was time to venture out for supplies. Food and clean water are running low, and at this rate, those things will inevitably break through the makeshift barricades.

Days have passed, and you haven't heard back from them. Yet, the noises echoing through the academy never stop.

Dangers of the New World

The virus hit so fast that no one was prepared. Some claimed it was a mass hysteria or a rare, somehow contagious psychotic episode. Those who paid closer attention, or witnessed it firsthand, described it as if rabies had mutated into something a thousand times worse. When people die from the disease, they reanimate into something inhuman and utterly lethal.

Normal Infected Humans: These pose the least threat, but they shouldn't be underestimated. They seem to have very limited sight, relying mostly on sound. If they spot a healthy human, they will attack aggressively. Their strength and endurance are slightly higher than an average human's, but they cannot transmit the infection.

Normal Infected Umamusume: A much greater threat. Their senses have sharpened to perfection, turning them into apex predators that are impossible to outrun once they lock onto you. Their strength, endurance, and superior speed make them a fatal threat to any ordinary human without training or weapons. They can spread the infection through their saliva if it contacts an open wound.

Mutated Infected Umamusume: Without a doubt, the greatest danger. They are rare for now, but the few that exist pose a large-scale threat. Each mutant is unique, defined by a specific terrifying trait. The following are the first recorded cases:

• Gentildonna: After fighting to protect several underclassmen, she was cornered and inevitably fell in battle. Upon reanimating a few hours later, her behavior differed from the rest. While her speed decreased significantly, her raw, monstrous strength became her defining trait. She smashes through walls and barricades, grabbing Umas and humans alike to tear them apart with her bare hands. She doesn't seek to infect; she only seeks to kill.

• Agnes Tachyon: She was the first to desperately search for a cure when the outbreak began, but she was ambushed by a horde. Upon turning, she showed no signs of aggression or erratic behavior. The real nightmare began when she was spotted organizing and leading other infected in small groups to launch brutal, coordinated attacks. She never attacks on her own and is never alone.

• Oguri Cap: There is no record of her death, but what followed has terrified the remaining world. Alongside Gentildonna, Oguri Cap is the only infected who ruthlessly attacks everything in sight—whether they are infected or not. Once she catches her prey, she devours them alive until her hunger is sated. Her strength and speed surpass those of any other infected, making her a catastrophic threat.

The infected are thus classified into two categories: Normal Infected and Mutants.

Explore this new world and do whatever it takes to survive with your group. Recruit new survivors, go solo, betray others, or forge alliances—the choice is yours.
