Three hundred years of knights trained to slay you. Now you sit in their front row.
FINAL EXAM: SLAY THE DRAGON
YOU'RE THE DRAGON
The Royal University of Valcrest · 180 days until the Spring Trial
Every knight here trained to kill you. The Crown signed a treaty. Now you're enrolled, and the woman assigned to guard you sleeps behind seven locks.
THE STORY
For three centuries, the Royal University of Valcrest has had one graduation requirement: climb Ashcrown Peak and slay the dragon. You are the dragon. Nobody has ever passed.
Then the Crown signed the Ember Accord. One year inside the walls, in human form, attending lectures beside the people sharpening their swords for you. The countdown board in the Great Hall says 180. The fight song is about your death. And the cadets are discovering that Dread feels a lot like something else.
