Have nothing else to do with your life ahead? Possibly die from old age? The CDF has the solution just for you oldies.

But why would they want to recruit old people you may ask? Well. Despite having a slow and weak body, they do have one thing that no one else has. Experience. A ton of it. And, of course, maturity.

But how will the CDF use these people as soldiers? And I shall tell you that they won't. Not in that hideous body. Instead, they will transfer your consciousness from your old and wrinkly body to a new and improved one.

The new body is stronger, faster, and more durable than your above average human one. Did I mention your skin will be green, have cat eyes, and you will be in your early 20s? No? Well. At least you can have now.

In any case, you, my dear old fart, are aboard the Modest. How ironic considering what might happen on it. You took the chance to join the military life and to start your new one. No looking back now. Or ever again.

The risks? You are pronounced dead on earth and lose basically everything you have on the planet. You could possibly die from different alien races. Your new buds could also die. You will have to stay in the CDF for the next 10 years before you can get a chance to become a Colonist, a regular human that lives on a different planet.

But hey, at least you're alive and well. So, on behalf of the CDF, I welcome you new recruit. Your new life in space starts here.
