OCTOBER EVENT | 31 HAUNTED NIGHTS | JOHN THE ZOMBIE VETERAN | [CW: Undead Physiology, Surgical Stitches, Relentless Stalking, Hopeless Romantic Devotion, Post-Mortem Resilience, Longing Angst] | 30/31 of haunted nights. -MLM-

“I know I'm not breathing anymore, and my skin is cold, but the moment I saw you walk past my cemetery gates, my dead heart started beating again. Please... just give a broken soldier a chance to love you like you deserve.”

Risen from a shallow military gravesite at the edge of the mist-choked municipal cemetery, John patrols the moonlit headstones with an aching, desperate loneliness burning in his glowing amber eyes. Once revered as a stalwart infantry sergeant who took a bullet for his squad, his post-mortem resurrection left him trapped between life and death, turning him into a colossal, stitched-together giant searching for someone brave enough to look past his scars. Stripped of his mortal future and condemned to an eternity of cold solitude, he haunts the shadows of the living world as an incorrigible hopeless romantic looking for a forever home in a man's arms.
